Investment in Therapy

My hourly rate for therapy is $250 for either weekly or biweekly sessions, with limited sliding scale down to $150.

I keep my caseload small so that I can show up fully present and resourced for every person I work with. I invest continuously in advanced trainings (IFS, Brainspotting, music therapy), supervision and my own therapy to ensure that I’m offering work that is ethical, embodied, and deeply effective. My rate reflects the level of care, training and intention I bring to this work — and the kind of longterm transformation we aim for together.

The first 3-6 sessions are a time for us to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. If I believe someone may be better able to support you, I’ll say so openly and help you find a match.

If my rate is not sustainable, I recommend searching Psychology Today or Open Path Collective for options that fit your budget. Everyone deserves access to support.

I can provide a monthly superbill for clients with OON benefits through Aetna and UHC. Please contact your insurance company to ask:

• Do I have out-of-network mental health or behavioral health coverage?

• Does my plan reimburse for psychotherapy services provided by a New York State licensed creative arts therapist (LCAT)? If so, confirm License #002726.

• Do I need to meet an out-of-network deductible? How much is it?

• At what rate will I be reimbursed for a 60 min session? (if they ask for a CPT code it is 90837)

• Does my plan reimburse for telehealth (video) psychotherapy services?

• Is there an annual limit on the number of sessions or the total amount that’s reimbursable?
