IFS Vocal Coaching
Free your voice through IFS and vocal instruction
Do you feel stuck in your head during voice lessons?
You long for the joy of singing that you felt as a a kid.
As a vocal coach with training in music therapy, I help you find freedom in your voice again.
I specialize in a method called Internal Family Systems (IFS) that helps you identify parts of yourself that hold you back. We find your “inner critic” that tells you that your voice isn’t good enough. We find the part of you that tenses your throat because you’re scared to be heard.
We see these parts as “protectors” because deep down they have good intentions. They often want to protect you from rejection. We hear them out and ask them to “unblend” so that you can sing with less tension. There is nothing wrong with your voice — it’s just hidden behind your fears. I can’t wait to help you uncover it!
My philosophy:
Singing is easy — and easily affected by your mindset.
Singing is your birthright — a natural way to express and connect.
Lessons are not about becoming perfect, but becoming free.
Your creative expression is inherently worthy.
My approach:
I combine contemporary pedagogy with therapeutic techniques. I help you shift into a creative flow state and regulate your nervous system, and add some technical direction. Then singing naturally happens. Your voice will connect to your emotions for full self-expression.
